The Arts Council of Greater Baton Rouge is excited to wecome back the Capitol Region’s juried art competition Art Flow Junior, celebrating the creative voices of today’s young Louisiana artists. Eligible to artists grades 3 through 12, Art Flow Junior 2021 included 109 submissions from 71 student artists from the following 29 schools across the Arts Council of Greater Baton Rouge’s 11-Parish region (Ascension, East Baton Rouge, East Feliciana, Iberville, Livingston, Pointe Coupee, St. Helena, Tangipahoa, Washington, West Feliciana, and West Baton Rouge).
Submissions are juried into three categories: Elementary School (grades 3-5), Middle School (grades 6-8), and High School (grades 9-12), with each category exhibiting ten students’ works selected by a jury of professional artists. First place, second place and third place cash prizes are awarded in each category.

JUDGES
Jason Andreason
Andreasen has served as BRG's President/CEO since the summer of 2008 (having joined the gallery in 2007). A native of Miami, Florida, he relocated to Louisiana's capital city in 2005. Since then, he's shifted away from a planned career in the courtroom to a life in the arts. He continues to work to grow both Baton Rouge Gallery and the arts in the greater Baton Rouge area in general. During his time with the gallery, he has led the organization to new heights in programming, charitable giving, art sales and more. Prior to his work at BRG, he also worked as a freelance entertainment writer, having interviewed the likes of visual artist Robert Williams, musical legends George Clinton and Marco Benevento, comedians D.L. Hughley and Lewis Black and many popular local bands such as Galactic, The New Orleans Bingo! Show and others.
Jennifer Carwile
Jennifer graduated from the University of Kansas with a BFA and LSU with an MEd. After college Jennifer spent years teaching middle school and working with under-resourced youth. It wasn't until later that she was able to concentrate on her artwork full time. She lives Baton Rouge, where she is a community activist and educator when she is not working at her studio. She owns Kelwood Contemporary Art, a gallery that focuses on local artists and shows with political or socially relevant themes. She shows work in Baton Rouge, in Covington at Southern Avenue, and in Orange Beach at the Coastal Arts Center. She has participated in several Art Melts and Prospect 3+.
Tyronecia Moore
Tyronecia Moore is a graphic designer and illustrator who specializes in providing visual language for voices of change. With over seven years of design experience working in nonprofit and corporate spaces in south Louisiana, she has been a conscious advocate of strengthening the Baton Rouge community through its art. In this time, she’s also been a visual arts instructor for both 7 elements BR (2014-2016) and Walls Project’s Futures Fund (2017-2019), co-founder of Fly Girl Pop Ups (Baton Rouge’s first sustainable secondhand shopping event), co-founder of A Conversation Between Women (a female art collective) and the brand designer for The New Church (a non-profit initiative centering the BIPOC experience). Her recent work focusing on mental health, design and fashion has gotten her recognized by DIG Magazine, 225 Magazine and InRegister, as well as by upcoming podcast hosts, Jordan Hefler (Do What You Want Radio) and Tiana Scioneaux (The Watered Woman). Moore is a Louisiana native and recent New Orleans resident.
